Barrier-Free

During this eight-week class, participants will have the opportunity to engage in authentic interaction and learning to enhance social skills. This is a mixed-abilities class and open to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or autism.

Topics include:

• Conversations
• Relationships/Friendships
• Professional skills & communication
• Group collaboration
• Problem-solving: rigid vs flexible thinking
• Growth mindset

Masks are required for this class, social distancing protocols will be observed, and the number of registrants is strictly limited to 10.

Class instructors Britt, Lauren, and Mike will be fully vaccinated by class start date.

This class will meet either at Westminster Community Center or Dutterer Family Park. A decision regarding class location each week will be communicated via email Wednesday mornings.

Due to COVID-19 and it’s impact on our community, Barrier-Free is providing additional flexibility in class registration.

• If at any time leading up to the start of class, any actors or families would prefer to cancel their registration, we will offer a 100% money-back guarantee.
• If at any time during the class, an actor’s health impacts their ability to attend and/or engage in class sessions, Barrier-Free will offer a pro-rated refund based on the number of class sessions remaining.

• We offer a 2 week “test-run!”
